Dextrose Chocolate Mousse

This guilt free dessert is something you wont be able to stop thinking about once you give it a try. This chocolate mousse can even be eaten for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon unflavoured gelatin.
  • 1 tablespoon cold water.
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water.
  • 1/2 cup dextrose.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa.
  • 1 cup cold whipping cream.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.

Directions

1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water allowing to soften (approx 1 min).

2. Add boiling water and stir until dissolved completely. Cool slightly.

3. Stir together sugar and cocoa, then add whipping cream and vanilla.

4. Beat on medium speed, scraping bottom of the bowl occasionally until mixture is stiff. Pour in gelatine mixture and beat until blended.

5. Spoon into serving dishes.

6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably several hours or overnight.
