Known for their anti-inflammatory properties, mountain pepper berries have long been used in native Australian culture to relieve arthritis and other joint conditions. Paired with turmeric, ginger and a heap of other spices... this latte packs an anti-inflammatory punch!

Servings: 15
Preparation: 5 mins
Cooking: 2 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried mountain pepper berries.
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
  • 5 tablespoons turmeric, ground.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom, ground.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder.
  • 1–2 teaspoon reishi powder (optional).
  • Almond milk, or milk of your choice.

Directions

1. Add all the dry ingredients to a blender and blend into a fine powder. This mixture will keep for several months when stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.

2. To make one golden latte, combine 1 teaspoon of golden latte mixture with 1 cup of almond milk in a small saucepan. Heat on a low heat until warm, stirring frequently. Serve as is or add your sweetener of choice, topped with additional ground cinnamon.
