Liver Detox Smoothie

Been eating a little too much sugar? This smoothie has all the ingredients you need to help your body digest and detoxify. Give that liver some love!  

Servings: 2
Preparation: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 small green apple, diced and frozen.
  • 1 zucchini, diced and frozen.
  • 1/4 avocado, diced and frozen.
  • 1 cup mixed greens like broccoli florets, watercress, beetroot greens, silverbeet, kale or spinach.
  • 1/4 cup coriander or parsley (or both!).
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds.
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, ground.
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced.
  • 2 cups coconut water.

Directions

1. Place all ingredients into the blender in the ordered list. Blitz on high for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into two glasses to serve.

Make it creamy: Sub out half of the coconut water for your choice of milk.
