I Quit Sugar - Veggie Golden Latte

This veggie-packed smoothie is a terrific immune enhancer! Drink this daily as a morning elixir and reap the benefits of anti-inflammatory turmeric!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Homemade Almond Milk or store-bought unsweetened almond milk (or regular milk).
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream or 5–6 frozen coconut cream cubes.
  • 2 carrots, chopped.
  • 1 zucchini, chopped.
  • 1/2 cup oats.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric, ground.
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla protein powder.
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper.

Directions

1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blitz on high until smooth.


Note

TRICKY TIP: Soak your oats overnight before adding to the blender to allow enzymes, lactobacilli and other helpful organisms to break down and neutralise the phytic acid in oats.
